The New version of the Easy Rooting Toolkit for Sony Xperia Smartphones, now at version 17, has added script support for both Linux and Mac. Legendary xda-developer DooMLoRD has also added support for a couple of new smartphones devices in the form of sony Xperia J and sony Xperia L. Support has also been added for the T-Mobile version of the sony Xperia Z (C6606). The rooting toolkit works on Sony Xperia devices with both locked and unlocked bootloaders.
